Comment : They compared carbon storage in adjacent plots of invasive grassland and native shrubland. Cheatgrass invasion not only releases carbon, it also eliminates a carbon sink. it is clear that invasive species in semiarid systems are changingthe dynamics of long-term carbon storage.
