Title : Annual variation in soil respiration and its components in a coppice oak forest in Central Italy
Journal : Global Change Biology
Comment : First, coppice-treatments did not significantly affect soil condition (e.g. Ts and VWC). The highest Rs rates were observed during the summer immediately after rainfall events. Soil respiration was highly correlated with Ts during winter and during spring and autumn whenever VWC was above 20%. A simple empirical model that predicted Rs during the year, using both Ts and VWC accounted for more than 91% of the observed annual variation in Rs.
